UNDP Resident Representative Visits Kg Kiding, Sarawak

9 July 2014, Kuching: The United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative to Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, Michelle Gyles-McDonnough, who is also the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the country, recently paid a visit to a local indigenous community village located outside of Kuching, Sarawak.

Together with Gan Pek Chuan, the Project Coordinator under the UNDP Environment & Energy cluster, Ms Gyles-McDonnough visited the Bidayuh community, who is one of the indigenous communities selected to be part of pilot projects under the Access and Benefit Sharing project. The visit was facilitated with one of UNDP's project partners, the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC).
